Prescriptions Instructions
- Please use the form below to request repeat prescriptions for your pet. Please allow at least 3 working days notice. This is to allow time for the request to be authorised by a vet, the medication ordered and then dispensed.
- Please note for written prescriptions there is a £25.50 for the first medication, £43.00 for two items of medication and £55.00 for 3 items of medication. This is payable before the prescription is supplied (we will contact you to organise payment).
- Please be aware that for most medications we will need to have seen your pet for a health check within the last 3-6 months. For certain conditions we may require more regular health checks and this will be decided by the veterinary surgeon responsible for your pet’s care. This is in order to comply with the ‘Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons’ code of conduct.
- For anti-parasitic treatment, e.g. flea and worm treatment, your pet will need to have been seen, within the last 12 months, by one of our veterinary surgeons.

- Dispensed medications are supplied by Ferndown Family Vets and collected from our surgery address (353 Wimborne Road West, Wimborne, BH21 7NW).
- Written prescriptions can be provided by Ferndown Family Vets for you to use to order your medications online. We would recommend an online pharmacy identified on this list in order to ensure your pet’s medications have been stored and supplied in the appropriate manner:

- Please note that some medications are ordered specifically for your pet and as a result we may request payment before ordering.
